Airport Hotel Discount Rates

What a wonderful weekend in Chicago with 500 of us sharing our passion of earning and using frequent flyer miles and hotel points!  So glad I got the chance to spend time with many of you.

Last year at the Chicago Seminar Do,  I learned about YourRoomKey link. I had checked the hotel rates several times on the website, but none worked out for me so I forgot about it. This year while speaking with another attendee, Chris the managing partner of YourRoomKey happened to be sitting with us. They both reassured me that I would be receiving all the benefits of my status with various hotel chains and that I would be earning points and credits for my stays booked through this site.

So this morning I thought I would try checking rates on YourRoomKey.com again. I needed a specific hotel on one date next month at an airport hotel. The least expensive rate on Hyatt.com was $152.15 plus tax and it required prepayment. YourRoomKey had the same king room for $95 plus tax with a 24 hour cancellation policy. I entered my Hyatt account number on the YourRoomKey site and my reservation appeared in my Hyatt account.

Chris told me their best rates are usually at airport hotels.
Membership for YourRoomKey is by invitation or screened application.
You need a credit card to book, but your credit card is not charged at the time of booking.
Cancellation policies seemed the same as booking directly on the hotel website.

After my stay next month I will update you on the posting of my points and credits for this stay. Do you have any experience using YourRoomKey.com?
