It has been more than 90 days since my last credit card applications. Today I applied for both the US Airways Dividend Miles Premier World MasterCard and the Chase Sapphire Preferred Credit Card. I was instantly approved by Barclay for a US Airways MasterCard, but the wording states I was approved for the US Airways World MasterCard, but the picture of the card on the same screen shows the words “Premier World”. On the US Airways website it appears that these are two different credit cards. MasterCards
Hopefully, I was approved for the premier card I applied for that provides 40,000 bonus miles after my first purchase. In addition card members receive one complementary airport lounge pass, preferred check-in and boarding, a $99 companion pass for one flight, and a 5,000 mile discount off of each award booking from your US Airways Dividend Miles account. Chase is reviewing my application for the Sapphire Preferred card and will advise me of their decision within 10 days. This card has great benefits and I am hopeful I will be approved. It has a 50,000 point sign up bonus for first time card members and no annual fee for the first year. To get the points you must spend $3,000 on the card in the first 3 months. Here is the link for this card. Chase Sapphire
This is a great credit card because the points you earn may be transfered to a number of hotel and airlines programs at a 1:1 ratio including Continental, British Airways, Hyatt, Marriott, and Priority Club. I like being able to choose where I want the points to go when I need more points or miles for a free flight or a free night.
