The Butterfly Farm

DSCN0825

While we were talking our morning walk in Aruba we stopped by The Butterfly Farm. This farm is a short walk from the Westin Aruba. Admission is $15 per person and includes a guided tour. Within a meshed enclosure you can walk around and see hundreds of exotic butterflies flying freely, pollinating flowers and mating. During the guided tour visitors are shown the butterfly life cycle including microscopic eggs, caterpillars and pupae. By arriving at 8:30 a.m. when The Butterfly Farm opens is the best opportunity to see a butterfly emerging from its pupa and watch newborn butterflies take their first flight.

We found The Butterfly Farm to be very relaxing and informative. My husband and I both enjoyed watching all of the beautiful butterflies in a tranquil setting.
