In about two weeks I will be going to my first MegaDo. What is a MegaDo? A large group of frequent flyers go on charter flights with an airline alliance to travel to events that include access to airline facilities and executives. The domestic portion of this MegaDo begins in San Fransisco, then we fly to Houston and the final events are in Chicago. United Airlines and Hyatt are the sponsors of this MegaDo. I am very excited to going on my first MegaDo! Most of all I am looking forward to spending four days with a wonderful group of fun loving and very knowledgeable frequent travelers.

The planned events on the last day of the MegaDo were changed after booking my flight home. So I preferred to fly home the night before my scheduled flight and fares from Chicago to Philadelphia dropped to $119. Fortunately for me the original American Airlines flight that I booked using British Airways Avios was canceled and I was automatically rebooked on a flight 2 1/2 hours later. Due to this change British Airways agreed to waive all cancellation fees, return my Avios to my British Airways account and give me a refund for the taxes I paid for my award ticket.
