Again this year I have had 25 stays at Starwood hotels and I am a platinum member for another year. For reaching this number of stays I received an email offering me a platinum gift of a $25 certificate good to use at check out for anything on my bill or a hulu plus membership for one year. I chose the $25 certificate and plan is to take this certificate with us to Maui. We will use it to help us pay for lunch at the Westin hotel in Ka’anappi where we are booked for three free nights.

Certificate is valid one year from month issued and may be used toward any goods or services that are charged to your folio at a Starwood Preferred Guest participating hotel by the expiration date. Upon checkout, the face value of the certificate will be applied to your folio.
Starwood made a number of improvements to their program this year. My favorite new Starwood benefit is award nights are included for the number of nights needed to achieve Gold or Platinum status. So now with enough points you may use those points for free nights and earn free status perks with Starwood.
Starwood improved and added benefits for Platinum members this year. Breakfast for both my husband and I will now be included with our free stay in Maui.
