We spent three nights at the Hilton Garden Inn next to the airport called the Portland International Jetport in Maine. We used the Hilton Honors points and money rate of 15,000 points plus $50 per night. With taxes the rate came to $160.50 for the three nights. Since I opened a Hilton Surpass credit card, I now have gold status so breakfast was included every morning for both of us. This is a breakfast buffet with fresh fruit, oatmeal, small boxes of cold cereal, eggs, bacon, sausage, breads, yogurt, pastries, and juices. Coffee and tea are served at the table and the best part of breakfast are the made to order eggs. Every morning I ordered a white egg omelet with assorted sauteed veggies. The omelets were great and served when asked with a side of salsa.

The hotel was a three block walk from the baggage area of the airport with the last block being up hill. There is free airport transportation that arrived to pick us up within minutes of calling. In addition the same shuttle will provide transportation into Portland during the day on demand for free. There are three regularly scheduled trips to the waterfront in the evening during the week. We used this free transportation service several times and we were the only ones on the shuttle for each ride. It is a great service provided by the hotel. The hotel also has free parking which we used while we had our rental car.
This is the view of the airport from our room.
It is not a busy airport, so noise was not a problem for us during our stay.
Check in was very pleasant and quick. We were given room 201 a corner spacious room with a microwave and small refrigerator. At check in we received two bottles of water and packet with a form inside suggesting we check in at Foursquare. When I checked in on my phone I was given a coupon from Foursquare for $5.00 credit from the pantry at the hotel. I selected three bottles of chilled apple juice for a total cost of $1.30 after the credit.
The bathroom in our room had double sinks, a separate area with the toilet and lots of counter space. Our room had only the one window and I found the room to be quite dark even with all of the lights on. The king bed had some kind of control to change the firmness. We are prefer not to operate controls on the beds. The mattress was soft and lumpy. Possibly using the control would have improved the comfort.
The hotel has a small indoor pool and gym.

On Wednesday nights a light dinner is provided for free and can be eaten out on the patio or in the lobby. The Wednesday night we were at the hotel they had grilled hamburgers and hot dogs, macaroni salad and chips and salsa. Assorted cookies are free in the lobby every afternoon. Free hot beverages are available in the lobby every morning.
For $160 plus 45,000 Hilton points we enjoyed our stay at the Hilton Garden Inn Portland Airport.
