As most of you know I am addicted to earning and burning miles and points. My family and I have just finished the last of our stays for the three Club Carlson promotions. We will earn more than 650,000 Club Carlson points for all of our stays. It takes between 9,000 and 50,000 points for a free night, so we have we have many free nights to use at Club Carlson Hotels in the future. Club Carlson hotel brands include: Radisson Blu, Radisson, Park Plaza, Park Inn by Radisson, Country Inns & Suites By Carlson and Hotel Missoni.
My favorite Club Carlson property so far is the Radisson Aruba. We stayed there in January and here is a link to my review. We are booked to go back to Aruba this January. Some of the points we earned from these Club Carlson promotions, we are using for our trip. The Radisson Aruba requires 50,000 points for a free night. The hotel rates at the Radisson Aruba in January are over $700 per night including taxes.
But are 650,000 Club Carlson points enough for me? Not when Club Carlson introduces another promotion for their Park Plaza hotels. Here is the link. This promotion runs until August 28. With just one stay you earn 50,000 bonus points, plus an online booking bonus and the points for your stay.
The only problem is there is only one Park Plaza hotel in the United States and it is located in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This Park Plaza hotel has a free shuttle to the Mall of America. The mall even has its own visitors guide just like a city. The Mall of America has 520 stores, 50 restaurants and attractions including an aquarium, American Girl store, Nickelodeon theme park and a movie complex with 14 theatres with digital sound, digital images,3D and D-BOX motion seating. The Mall of America certainly seems to have a enough to explore for a two day trip. There are direct flights available from Philadelphia and I have plenty of extra frequent flyer miles.
Should I visit the Mall of America and stay at the only Park Plaza Hotel in our country? Or is this hotel promotion one I should pass?
