Today is my birthday. My husband and I are celebrating the week with a trip to Maui. Yesterday we flew from Philadelphia to Dallas on American Airlines and today we fly direct to Maui. I used 35,000 British Airways miles plus $10 each for our American Airlines round trip flights. American and British Airlines are partners allowing us to use miles from one program to fly on the other.

We are staying for free for six nights in Maui using most of the free nights we earned this summer from Starwood’s free night promotion(SPG Getaway Free). In Maui we are renting a car for approximately $170. This will bring the total cost of our trip for our flights, hotel and car rental under $200.
