I received an email from US Airways advising me that I had earned 9 not 10 hits for the Grand Slam promotion. After speaking with a representative I learned that the 850 Starwood points I transferred to US Airways was not counted as a hit. The terms and conditions of the US Airways Grand Slam 2011 promotion state, “A minimum of 850 miles must be earned per hotel points conversion.” From reading about the Grand Slam promotion on flyertalk.com, there seems to me a computer glitch with transfers that are not more than instead of equal to 850 points transferred. The representative sent an email for me asking that this transfer of points count as a hit. When I tried to send the email the link on their website kept giving me an error.
