Delta Air Lines announced today that airline miles in their SkyMiles frequent flyer program no longer expire. The effective date of the change is January 1, 2011. Delta’s press release states, “we eliminated our mileage expiration policy so you can earn and redeem miles without worrying if and when your miles will expire.” Now the question is, will other major airlines follow Delta and remove their expiration policies too?
