Great Credit Card Offers – Targeted v. Non-Targeted

My husband received an offer in the mail for an American Express gold card. He was offered 50,000 American Express Points after spending $500 on the card and the annual fee of $175 is waived. This offer was sent to him and I am not eligible for that credit card offer. It is called a targeted offer and it is only offered to a select number of applicants.

I also received a targeted credit card offer this week, but not from AMEX. Instead I received an email for a free credit card from the Priority Club hotel chain (InterContinental, Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn and more) offering me 80,000 Priority Club points after my first purchase with the card. If I am approved for the credit card, my first purchase may be any amount and I will be receiving the 80,000 bonus points. What will I do with 80,000 points? There are many other choices, but this is a start for those of you new to this frugal travel life.

Hyatt has a credit card available to all that qualify. The annual fee is $75 and you receive two free nights at any Hyatt in the world after your first purchase as long as there is availability. Free Nights The offers states that it takes 10 days after you qualify for the free nights to be in your Hyatt Gold Passport account. I believe the free nights are good to use for six month after you are approved for the card.

American Airlines has a free credit card to all that qualify. It gives 75,000 bonus AAdvantage miles after spending $4,000 in the first six months after approval. The fine prints state this offer is valid only for first-time Citi/AAdvantage applicants. 75,000 miles

Keep in mind these credit card offers change all the time and there will be many more offers. Before applying for any credit card offers, I suggest you read my post from November 18 about the Southwest Visa.
